WNY Concert Guide: March 2019

By Daniel Nelligan

Welcome everybody to the first edition of the WNY Concert Guide, which is a new series we are running on this website that will preview the next months worth of concerts. I will be putting in my list of the most can't miss shows that you can find in the area. These list won't be in a any order and hopefully you will find at least one show that suits your fancy and you can make it too in the coming month, so lets begin.

First off, I'm only adding shows to this list that are not within these first few days, just because how late this list will be off.

Mother Mother: March 16th Rapids Theatre

Mother Mother is a Canadian Alternative Rock band that probably the majority of the people reading this might know, however Mother Mother is a relatively older band, with their debut album in 2007 they have been touring ever since. I would say if you would like a solid alternative concert to go to, this show will be the high energy great show you are looking for.

Houses: March 18th Tralf Music Hall

Houses is an up and coming band and this show is apart of Alt Buffalo's "You saw them first" series. This show might be already sold out if that tells you anything about how good they really are! The duo of Dexter Tortoriello and Megan Messina really will bring down the house (no pun intended) as the Chicago duo bring their sound to Buffalo for what will be a great show. I honestly couldn't tell you what they sound similar too, they have a very unique sound however if you are a fan of musicians like Robert Delong, this is right up your alley.

Tokyo Police Club: March 23rd Buffalo Town Ballroom

Another Canadian band in town for Buffalo as The Tokyo Police Club visits for a show that I've been hoping came through Buffalo for a long time. If you are into bands such as Ra Ra Riot or Arkells this is the show for you.

The Interrupters March 24th Buffalo Town Ballroom

Ska is back BABY. The Interrupters have brought ska back and I have never EVER been happier. They bursted on to the scene with "She’s Kerosene" from their latest album "Fight the Good Fight" which is such a great album. There is really not much more to say other than if you like bands like Less Than Jake, The Bouncing Souls, No Doubt, or the Mighty Mighty Bosstones this is the show for you.

Fleetwood Mac: March 26th Key Bank Arena

Fleetwood Mac is back, so never say never. This might be the biggest show coming through Buffalo so if you are into classic rock, this is the go to show for you. For the experience alone of seeing one of the biggest bands from their era this has to be one show in Buffalo for the ages.
